 When
Bill Samuels chose to restart the distillery in 1958, he chose to place it in Loretta, Kentucky.
Maker's Mark is based on corn, barley and winterwheat.
The world has Bill's Wife Marge to thank for the unique
Maker's Mark bottle; she collected cognac
bottles and was probably inspired by that when doing the
design. Marge was also the one to come up with
the name 'Maker's Mark'.
Makers Mark is a great bourbon and has truly earned its
close to 'cult status' in the US.
Appearance: Golden.
Nose: Distinctive oak character with fruit and
vanilla.
Taste: Full-bodied and full of taste.
Finish: Long, lingering taste with some creamy
hints of fudge.
